Accessibility - our claim as a digital agency

As a digital agency, we design and implement websites and digital offerings - including accessible solutions on behalf of our clients. For us, accessibility is a professional topic that we actively take into account in customer projects: in the conception, design and technical implementation with Drupal and other modern web technologies.

As a private company, we are currently not legally obliged to submit an accessibility declaration for our own website. Nevertheless, we have decided to provide transparent information about the current accessibility status of www.tojio.com - because we take the issue seriously and because it would not be credible for us to demand accessibility from customers without working on it ourselves.

We are aware that in some areas our own website does not yet meet the standards that we strive to achieve for our customers. Improving the accessibility of www.tojio.com is part of our ongoing development and is being implemented step by step.

Aspiring standard

We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA as a benchmark for accessible web development - both in customer projects and increasingly for our own website.

Current status

The website www.tojio.com is currently partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 (conformance level AA). The following areas are known to us and will be corrected in the course of ongoing development:

• Alternative texts: Not all images have complete alternative texts for screen readers.
• Contrast ratios: Some texts and graphic elements fall below the recommended minimum contrasts according to WCAG 1.4.3.
• Keyboard navigation: Full usability via keyboard is not yet ensured for all areas.
• PDF documents: Documents such as our short profile (PDF) are not yet accessible.

This statement is based on a self-assessment and will be updated as soon as significant improvements have been implemented.
